Letter: Stop revolving prison doors
I would like to say thanks to all the law officers in Yuba and Sutter counties.
These brave men and women give us great protection so we can live in safety. But it's the courts and the penal system that is letting us down.
Now they are letting them out because they are running out of room. With almost every arrest our lawmen make, these guys are on parole. It seems they can't wait to get back to jail.
I would like to know why. I always thought a prison was to be a punishment, but it seems like ours are country clubs. Things must change. We must stop the revolving doors of our prisons. We spend millions and get nothing but repeat offenders.
