Red Ribbon contest raises awareness

Soraya, Cynthia and Miranda Mojica of Yuba City spent their Saturday working on their entry for the Red Ribbon Week photo contest.

As part of Red Ribbon Week, with the goal to educate kids on the dangers of drug use, the Red Ribbon photo contest is for parents and kids to create a display that is a visual commitment to being drug-free.

This year's theme is "The Best Me is Drug-Free."

Those participating in the contest decorate their homes and submit a photo to redribbon.org for a chance to win $1,000 for their school and an iPad for their home.

The voting runs from Nov. 2-16. Vote for the Mojica family or other families who have entered the contest at www.redribbon.org/vote.
