Letter: Ramirez has proven leadership

I am serving as a Yuba City Planning Commissioner and have served on the Local Agency Formation Commission. I have had the pleasure of knowing Rory Ramirez and his wife, Carol, for many years. They are a dynamic team who, when you get one, you get both.

Personally, I don't know of a couple that has done more for the community. One example of that combined commitment would be the Yuba City Centennial Celebration, when Rory was mayor. I have watched Rory's career in politics and served with him when he was chairman of LAFCO. I can say from experience and without reservation, no one comes more prepared or runs a more efficient meeting than Rory. He has an uncanny ability to take difficult problems and explain them in easy to understand terms.

Rory is insistent on being open, informative and holding to the obligation of maintaining the integrity of the process. These are difficult times, and now, more then ever, we need intelligent, tough and proven leadership. We don't have the luxury of people getting on the job training. Vote Rory Ramirez Sutter County Supervisor District l on Tuesday.
