Letter: Ramirez will serve the people

Rory Ramirez happens to be my brother-in-law. I have known Rory for 37 years. I have gotten to know him very well on many different levels.

Rory and his wife, Carol, were there for me when my wife recently passed away from cancer.

While Rory served as a Yuba City councilmember, he facilitated the city's lease for our Certified Farmers Market that still operates in Town Center. He is a tough negotiator that, while being fair, will not be fooled.

I have also served on many boards and commissions with Rory and watched his abilities in dealing with complex issues and government bureaucracies. Rory consistently displayed patience, tenacity for getting to the facts while respecting diverse opinions and building consensus.

Having served as a Sutter County Board of Supervisor I know what it takes to do the job correctly. Rory is the only candidate for Distric 1 Supervisor who has proven to me his abilities and commitment to the citizens of Sutter County.

Rory will not only represent the people of District 1 but all the citizens of Sutter County with class, style and effectiveness that others will soon come to appreciate and respect.
