The 92nd Red Bluff Round-Up is coming to the Tehama District Fairgrounds on April 19-21. Tickets are now on sale.
A community favorite, this event dates back to a time when cowboys road and ruled the county.
Its three days of rodeo with some of the best Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association cowboys and cowgirls in the sport competing for big bucks.
And there's a lot more than rodeo that takes place. The Round-Up kicks off April 13 with a chili cook-off, car show, and pony rides. On April 17, cowboy poetry reading will take place at the Tehama County Library.
Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply in Red Bluff hosts the Round-Up Mixer on April 18.
The Cowboy Golf Tournament — golfing with your hat and spurs on — is the morning of April 19, and the 55th annual Red Bluff Round-Up Parade takes place at 10 a.m. April 20.
Fans can get a free rodeo ticket by donating blood at the blood drive on that same day.
The Round-Up is the only rodeo in the nation to host a "Wild Ride," which will be held April 21 and features addle bronc and bareback riders dressed in costume as they ride their broncs.
A wild horse race follows each rodeo performance, and a concert by Neal McCoy begins at 7:30 p.m. on April 20.
All of this action joins the traditional rodeo events of bull riding, bronc riding, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and steer wrestling.
