Haight accounts for 10 runs in win

Holly Haight went 4-for-7 scoring four runs and knocking in six to lead Marysville/North Yuba over Olivehurst Linda, 26-9, in the District 2 Junior Softball All-Star Tournament at Earl Yorton Field in Marysville Wednesday.

Marysville/North Yuba got off to a hot start and led 11-0 early on.

Fiona Newman added four runs and three RBIs and Delores Lucich had two RBIs and three runs for Marysville/North Yuba.

Kathryn Asurmendi had three RBIs to lead O-L.

Live Oak 19, Wheatland 11

Jessica Fregoso hit three triples, scored four times and had one RBI to lead Live Oak over Wheatland.

Tera Sizemore tripled and had two RBIs, while Lyndsey Sizemore hit two doubles and knocked in two runs for Live Oak.

Rebecca Mcintosh led Wheatland with three RBIs.

Wheatland rallied for 10 runs late, but their comeback fell short.

O-L 6, Live Oak 1

Morgan Thome hit a two-run double and pitched the complete-game three-hitter to lead Olivehurst-Linda over Live Oak.

Mercedez Terry went 2-for-3 and scored two runs for O-L, which scored three runs in the fifth to put the game away.

Chelsey Souza went 2-for-2 with a double in the loss.

Colusa 11, Wheatland 1

Andee Clare pitched a complete-game four-hitter and scored three runs to help Colusa beat Wheatland.

Meghan Foster added two RBIs and Rylee Kampf went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Colusa.

Taylor Crabb went 2-for-2 and scored a run to lead Wheatland.
