Letter: Inflammatory remarks raise question on motives
I was happy to see the Aug. 29 letter to the editor from Tom Collins. The point Mr. Collins makes is "Obamacare has already taken $716 billion from the Medicare budget." However, the "liberals want us to believe that seniors will be much worse off with Mitt Romney."
On another note, I am getting really tired of Ron Lowe and Charles Scarfe name calling. In a piece by Charles Scarfe, the first line calls the tea party "vile" and "poisoned public discourse," and referred to Congressman Wally Herger as "our do-nothing congressman." After Paul Ryan was selected to be Mitt Romney's running mate, Ron Lowe wrote "Ryan is bright, bold and brash; clever, cunning and conservative.
"Ryan is the last best chance that fundamentalists, religious extremists and the tea party have of getting one of their kind in the White House."
As a Christian, I am highly insulted over inflammatory remarks such as these. I question the motive of anyone who would intentionally make such derisive remarks.
