Wedding: Garner/ Mathews
Yuba City residents Jessica Garner and Christopher Mathews were married Sept. 29 in an outdoor ceremony in Marysville.
His brother, David Ingram of Sacramento, officiated.
A reception was held at the same site.
The bride, daughter of William Garner of Marysville and Sue and Greg Belcastro of Yuba City, was attended by Kellen Ray of Sacramento.
Bridesmaids were Sara Read and Patrisa Turner of Yuba City, Carolyn Spradley of Sacramento, Cyndi Page of Mississippi and the groom’s sister, Christina Allis of Marysville.
Attendants also included the groom’s nieces, Caroline Mathews and Corrine Mathews of Marysville, Evy Ingram of Phenix City, Ala., and Olivia Ingram of Sacramento, as flower girls; and his nephew, Bearson Smith of Yuba City, as ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate student at California State University, Sacramento, pursuing her master’s degree in social work. She received a bachelor’s degree in social work in 2011 from CSU Chico.
The groom, son of Frederick Mathews and Evelyn and Brad Allis, all of Marysville, was attended by Michael Fritz of Yuba City as best man.
Ushers were Jarod Read of Yuba City, JD Songer of Wyoming, Alexander Richards of Connecticut, Patrick Johnston of Washington, D.C., and Michael Krieger of Florida.
The groom is a first officer with American Eagle Airlines.
He is a 2009 graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in business management economics.
Both the bride and groom are 2004 graduates of Marysville High School.
The couple honeymooned with a Mediterranean cruise.
