Open House at Country Florist

Specials and drawings are among the activities planned at the three-day Holiday Open House hosted by The Country Florist in Linda.

The holiday event is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday; 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1500 N. Beale Road.

Festivities include entertainment provided by the Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts, in addition to refreshments.

Bakery offering stuffing recipes

Free recipe cards for old-fashioned white bread stuffing and apple sausage stuffing are available at the Great Harvest Bread Co. in Yuba City.

The recipes were created by former Butterball Turkey hotline lady and cookbook author Renee Ferguson using Great Harvest's Oregon Herb bread.

Ferguson's cookbook is available online at www.turk eytools.com, which also includes free menu ideas.

Great Harvest is located at 1500 Butte House Road, Suite 200.

Tory Johnson in Sacramento

Tory Johnson, workplace contributor to "Good Morning America," is the keynote speaker at the "Women in Work" Conference and Luncheon in Sacramento.

Presented by Sacramento MomsLikeme and Tri Counties Bank, the event is slated from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, 821 I St.

Luncheon tickets are $22.50 to $35.

The conference will have seminars on such topics as finance, networking, organizing, balancing work and family, and how to dress for all work occasions.
