Letter: Muslims' actions speak volumes

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Nov. 5 was a sad day in American history. Another murderous rampage by a Muslim shouting “God is great” methodically killed unarmed Americans. The murderous event was followed by an all-too-common plea by Muslims for Americans not to jump to conclusions.

I have already jumped and there are numerous events to justify my leap. I am sick and tired of Muslims killing non-Muslims and praising God in the process. God is not the driving force behind these events. Muslim ignorance is the driving force. It is now and always has been.

I am sick and tired of hearing Muslims worry about their feelings being hurt by the attitude of non-Muslim Americans. To even equate Muslim feelings to the murder of Americans is the height of ignorance.

It is time to seriously consider why Muslims are populating our country. Muslims consider us infidels. Therefore, our Constitution and laws are products of infidels. Why would Muslims voluntarily come to America knowing in advance they do not accept anything this nation was founded upon?

I think their actions speak louder than their words.

Editor’s note: Army Maj. Nidal Milak Hasan is a native-born Virginian and lifelong Muslim who had been distraught over being deployed. Soldiers reported that the gunman shouted “Allahu Akbar!” – an Arabic phrase for “God is great!” – before opening fire.

PAY HIKE?
What should the board of trustees do with the proposed $29,282 pay raise for Chancellor Nicki Harrington?
Rescind it. Now is not the time.
Give it to her. She should be compensated fairly and competitively.
