• Hobbies, interests: I like to go fishing in the rivers and lakes around the area. We also hike and camp at Harmony Ridge (near Nevada City).

• Where do you get your news? Appeal-Democrat and television

• How long have you been in the Yuba-Sutter area? Nearly all my life

• Favorite musical group: Kid Rock

• Who do you most admire and why? My mom, because she raised four kids with limited resources, and she made it through. She's strong.

• What kind of pets do you have? Eight dogs (six of them are newborn puppies), a cat, a whole bunch of fish, and a tarantula named Rosie (I feed it but I don't touch it — freaks me out).

• What are your favorite places to go in Yuba-Sutter/Mid-Valley/Sacramento area? The rivers and lakes.

• What is your dream job? Something working with kids and animals.

• What are some of your fondest childhood memories? Going camping and spending time with my brothers and sister outdoors

• If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? I would make more things for the kids to do. I'd build places that are safe, where they can go and hang out and stay out of trouble.

• Favorite book: "From the Corner of His Eye" by Dean Koontz. I like Stephen King and Dean Koontz

• Favorite movie: Anything with Adam Sandler

• What is your worst fear? Not being able to take care of my kids
