Any surprises during your antique shopping? At a sale, my son wanted to buy some comic books from when I was little. That surprised me — he usually doesn't shop.
Where do you get your news? TV and Internet.
What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I was born in Gridley and was away from the area for a few of years. I've been in Yuba City for the past 20 years.
What's kept you in the Yuba-Sutter area? It's small enough of a town, but still has all the necessities available.
Where would you like to settle down someday? Somewhere near a beach.
What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I rubbed elbows with Tiger Woods at Lake Tahoe, before his drama. I didn't know who he was — his security people pushed me out of the way.
What would you do with a million dollars? Take my kids on a vacation.
Who has had a strong influence in your life? My dad — he taught me how to work hard in life and helped me become who I am.
Do you have a favorite memory to share? Running in the rain with my dad when I was little. And going to grandma's house.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? A lawyer.
What do you like about yourself? That I'm finally living the life I wanted to for a long time.
What would you like to see different in the community? That we'd become more united. It's such a small town, but we don't seem to be as united as we should be.
What is your pet peeve? People who take all the little things for granted.
