John W. Saunders Jr.
John Williams Saunders Jr., 87, of Tudor died Jan. 5, 2006.
Born in Tudor, he was a lifelong Yuba-Sutter resident.
He was in the farming business for 65 years.
He attended Central Gaither Elementary School, Yuba City High School and University of California at Berkeley.
He served in the Army Air Corps as a lieutenant, pilot and flight instructor.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Street Saunders of Yuba City; a daughter, Diane Saunders Hanson of Boulder, Colo.; a son, John W. Saunders III of Tudor; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Saunders Mezzeta; and a brother, Robert James Saunders.
Donations may be made to Sutter County Flood Control, the First Presbyterian Church of Marysville or a charity of choice.
Services: Private services were held under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City.
