Letter: 'A black mark' on school, town
Each day as I read the Appeal-Democrat, I wonder if I am to old for this world at 70.
I see coaches who condone the vandals who damaged Marysville High School and want the newspaper to just go away and let the vandals play football again. They should be not allowed to play any sports. They let down the school, their fellow football players, their parents and their town.
These young men where supposed to set a example for their school and be above this. This will never go away in the memory of the fans and will always be a black mark on the school and town. The young men should be treated like any other vandals, and the coach who wanted them to play again should be fired. He is supposed to be a builder of young men; he is not doing his job.
This is what is wrong with the whole school system.
