Annual drama, dessert at New Life
Skits by students and gourmet desserts are featured in the sixth Annual Drama and Dessert Valentine Fundraiser hosted by the New Life Christian School's senior class.
A night of "Love and Stuff" is at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at the school's Family Center, 5736 Arboga Road, Olivehurst.

Live Oak
Blood drive honors young patient
"Show Some Love, Give Some Blood" is the theme for a blood drive hosted by Live Oak High School senior Mariah Moody in partnership with BloodSource.
The blood drive is from 2 to 6 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Live Oak High School cafeteria, 2351 Pennington Road, Live Oak.
Donors must be in generally good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors age 16 or 17 years old must have a signed parental consent form.
Photo identification is required.
The blood drive is part of Moody's senior project in honor of Andrew Remund, a local 4-year-old boy undergoing chemotherapy and blood transfusions.

Live Oak
Kindergarten sign-ups set to begin
Fall registration for kindergarten and transitional kindergarten students at Luther Elementary School will begin next month.
Registration is from 1 to 4 p.m. weekdays Feb. 12 to 26 at the school office, 10123 Connecticut Ave., Live Oak.
For kindergarten, children must turn 5 years old on or before Oct. 1. For transitional kindergarten, children must turn 5 years old between Oct. 2 and Dec. 1.
Parents must bring the child's birth certificate, proof of immunizations, proof of residency and Social Security number.
