Oksana Shyian of Kiev, Ukraine, and Oscar George Diessner III of Wheatland plan to wed May 24 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marysville.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Anatoliy Molochko of Kiev and Valentyna Shyian of Brovary, Kiev region, Ukraine. She is a graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev, with doctor of philosophy degree in social geography, where she is working as an informational engineer.

Her fiancé is the son of Ozz and Betty Diessner of Wheatland. He is a graduate of Wheatland High School and attended Yuba College and California State University, Sacramento.
