Letter: Is Agenda 21 coming soon?

Hundreds of communities, including Sacramento, have signed on. But many are now seeing it exposed for what it is.

Agenda 21 is a 40-chapter U.N. document signed by President George H.W. Bush 20 years ago, along with representatives of other countries in Rio de Janeiro at the 1992 Earth Summit. It has now been endorsed by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and the Obama administration. The only thing left is approval by the Senate.

This isn't a conspiracy theory — it is real, and now out in the open. America says, "Government derives its just power from the consent of the governed. Global government (the United Nations) says, "The governed derive their freedom from the consent of the government."

These two philosophies cannot co-exist. This is not what our citizens died for.
