Nolan C. Sites Jr.

Nolan Claude "N.C." Sites Jr., 56, of Bakersfield died July 3, 2005, at his residence.

Born in Yuba City, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 20 about years.

He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1967 to '69.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Sites of Bakersfield; two stepdaughters, LeAnn Toussaint and Becky Clendenen, both of Bakersfield; a stepson, Brian Ransom of Bakersfield; his mother, Wyona Said of Sacramento; three sisters, Kimberly Stone of Sacramento and Janis Hunt and Pamela Sites, both of Lompoc; a brother, John Sites of Louisiana; and nine grandchildren.

Services: A graveside service will be held at noon July 16 at Meridian Cemetery, 553 Meridian Road at Kilgore Road, Meridian. A memorial gathering will follow at the West Sutter Veterans Building, Fourth and Bridge streets in Meridian. Arrangements are under the direction of Kern River Family Mortuary in Bakersfield.
