Hobbies, interests: Painting. I like to paint roosters, old folk art and primitive things. Our eleven great-grand babies keep us busy, too.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? My family when I was 10 moved from Idaho to get away from the cold weather.

Place of worship you attend: Hallwood Nazarene Church.

How long have you attended? A year and half.

What is the importance of faith in your life? It’s the foundation of everything I do and think and hopefully, that I am.

The fact that we lost two of our children; it was hard times. It is with the strength of the Lord that we get through it. Without our faith it would’ve been impossible.

How do you live out your faith? I try to follow the tenants that we are taught. I consider the decisions I make. We work with a grief recovery group. If we can help others who have gone through what we have gone through, and let them know to rely on the Lord, then we have served our purpose.

Faith in Action appears Saturdays. It features a member of a church, temple or mosque and the importance of their faith. To suggest someone to be featured, contact Faith & Family coordinator Larry Badger at 749-4776.
