Where do you get your news? Appeal-Democrat and FOX 40 news.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Because my grandparents lived here.

What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? My family, mainly my son.

Where would you like to live someday? Seattle.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I gained an autograph from Jamie Foxx, when coming back for leave, after basic training.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? I would love to hear my grandfather laugh one last time.

Who do you most admire? My grandfather — he was a hard working man. Even on his days off he found something constructive to do.

Who has had a strong influence in your life? My mother — she taught me to be humble and to appreciate the simple things in life like family, having a home.

Favorite places to go to in the area? Home, where it's peaceful.

What is your dream job? Open and manage my own restaurant.

What are some of your fondest memories? Seeing my son for the first time. Best thing to happen to me.

What would you change about the community? I would install more street lighting in Linda. Also create a Big Brother/Sister program for the young youth.

Do you play any instruments? No, but I'd like learn how to play the saxophone. My grandfather loved jazz music. I've always been interested.

What was the last good book you read? Dr. Seuss' "The Cat in the Hat" to my son.

Favorite sports team: Cleveland Browns.

What is your pet peeve? When people smack when they eat food.

Favorite television show: "Hell's Kitchen."

Favorite book: The Bible.
