More Spanish channels from Comcast
The latest page in Yuba-Sutter's television menu is in Spanish.
A set of five channel packages from Comcast Corp. introduces 26 new Spanish-language stations to viewers in the Yuba City and Marysville areas, the third local channel expansion this year.
Named MultiLatino, the five tiers range from about $17 to $77 per month and are separated by the number of English-language stations, with higher-priced tiers progressively adding more options, according to Bryan Byrd, regional Comcast spokesman. All offer at least 45 Spanish-language channels.
Expansions to Comcast's channel list in the Mid-Valley have followed the company's conversion to nearly all-digital transmission, which has allowed more channels over existing cable TV lines — as many as 12 channels in the space previously filled by one.
The firm in June began ending analog TV service for most stations other than network affiliates, while providing new digital tuner boxes to its customers. Extra channels debuted for Yuba-Sutter customers in June and August.
