Craft Fair set for Saturday
Robbins Elementary School is hosting a Craft Fair fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Robbins.
The fundraiser features crafts handmade by students plus baked goods.
All proceeds go toward financing the seventh- and eighth-graders' trip to Washington, DC.

Yuba speech team wins medals
Several members of the Yuba College Speech Team were awarded medals in the University of the Pacific Speech and Debate tournament held in November.
Local medal winners were:
Dejon English — second place in poetry interpretation and fourth place in oral interpretation of literature;
Kate Earley — two fourth-place awards, in persuasive speaking and informative speaking;
Ryan Nelson — fourth place in dramatic interpretation of literature.
The Yuba College team's first competition of the school year included more than 40 colleges and universities.
Colusa
High school to host blood drive
Colusa High School is hosting a blood drive as part of the "Celebrate the Season of Giving with BloodSource" campaign.
The blood drive is from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at a bloodmobile on campus, 901 Colus Ave.
Donors must weight at least 110 pounds; be at least 17 years old, 16 with written parental consent; and in generally good health.
The BloodSource holiday campaign is from Dec. 1 to 31. Call 866-822-5663 for more information.
Maxwell
New Year's Eve Gala tickets on sale
Tickets are available for the second annual New Year's Eve Gala in Maxwell, hosted by Partners for the Future of Agriculture.
Set Dec. 31, the event features a no-host bar at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion Hall on Oak Street in Maxwell.
A live band, auction and raffle are also part of the festivities that are being catered by Louis Cairo's and Tommy's Market Street Grill.
Tickets are a $50 donation per person, with all proceeds benefiting the Maxwell High School agriculture and shop department.
