Linda man in custody after stabbing
An argument between cousins ended Wednesday in Linda when one stabbed the other in the stomach with a folding knife, the Yuba County Sheriff's Department said.
Brandon Poston was stabbed on the right side of his abdomen, deputies said.
Poston, 22, was taken to Rideout Regional Medical Center. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, Sgt. Wencel Kemp said.
Bradley "Scotty" Anderson was arrested a few hours later on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
"They were arguing and then it appears Mr. Anderson became extremely angry and assaulted his cousin," Kemp said.
The nature of the argument was not clear.
Deputies were called to the Country Wood Apartment complex just after noon in the 5900 block of Lowe Avenue.
Anderson fled the scene on a blue bicycle, authorities said.
Deputies roped off the area in front of the apartment and searched several blocks without success.
Anderson called the Sheriff's Department from his mother's home in Yuba City later in the day to surrender, Kemp said.
"He was picked up at the home," Kemp said.
