Max Stassi smacks 100 homers for charity
It's not everyday you get to see 100 home runs hit. That was the sight at Winship Field in Yuba City on Saturday afternoon during the fourth annual Homers for the Hungry benefit put on by former Yuba City High star and Oakland A's prospect Max Stassi.
In the first 15-minute round, Stassi connected on 40 home runs. During the second round, Stassi smashed his 100th homer of the event in the final seconds of the period. It was the second time he reached the triple-digit mark at the event, his first being the inaugural year of the benefit when he hit 110 home runs.
