Eileen R. Stein
Eileen Rose Stein, 79, of Yuba City died Dec. 5, 2006, at Fremont Medical Center.
Born in Rollingstone, Minn., she was a Yuba-Sutter resident for six years.
She was a social worker for 10 years for the Monterey County Department of Health and Welfare.
She served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include three daughters, Caroline Russett of Yuba City, Mary Ghera of Reno, Nev., and Kathleen Stein of Boise, Idaho; four sons, Ned Stein of San Jose, James Stein of Santa Barbara, Joseph Stein of Richmond and Thomas Stein of Newbury; three sisters, Rose Holland of Reno, Nev., Agnes Fenton of Winona, Minn., and Patricia Kieffer of Rochester, Minn.; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned R. Stein Sr.; and a son, Douglas Stein.
Services: A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City, preceded by visitation beginning at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City. Final services and burial will be in St. Marys, Kansas.
