Three Cheers Letter: Dishwasher issue handled locally
I would like to tell your readers why they should shop local. I bought a dishwasher several years ago from an appliance store in Marysville.
I have had trouble with the plug-in wire shorting out and melting. The service repair from the store came out several times for the wires melting, and one time for the circuit board shorting out. I did some research and found out that the maker did have a problem with certain models catching fire.
After several days of talking to the maker, they admitted they had a problem with some dishwashers, but mine was no longer under warranty.
The store here made me a GREAT deal on a new washer. I feel if I would have gone out of town or to a big-box store, I would not have received this type honesty and loyalty. My situation is a classic example of why this store (Marysville & Yuba City locations) received “The Best in Yuba/Sutter” award. Shop local!
