Letter: Sutter Theater support appreciated; volunteers needed for project

Great article on the recent progress of the Sutter Theater. Thank you Appeal Democrat for your support — as a volunteer for Sutter Performing Arts Association.

I am excited to see the opening of the theater coming closer to fruition. Once we get the black-box theater open, we can begin to make a steady income to help put us that much closer to opening the larger performing arts theater.

What an asset to the entire community that will make; something that can be passed on to our children and grandchildren for many years to come. It has taken a lot of hours of work, donated expertise of professionals and the ability to see the big picture to come this far.

Anyone can be a part of this community project. We always need more volunteers for various fundraising projects or actual theater work. If you want to be a part of this project check, out our website, suttertheater.org, or Facebook page, and make that contact. If you can't volunteer, then perhaps a donation or sponsorship.

Our biggest fundraiser, the third annual Masquerade Ball, is April 17.

As a committee member, I can tell you that the entertainment plans are extraordinary this year.

I can't begin to express the personal fulfillment you will receive when you step up to the plate, put yourself out there and volunteer for a community project like this one. It can be a lot of fun to meet new people of all ages working for a common cause.
