Letter: Educator backs Heckman

I support Sarah Heckman for Sutter Superior Court judge. As an athletic director, teacher and coach for Sutter Union High School for more than 20 years, I have had a great opportunity to help mold the development of our youth, and have had the pleasure of meeting countless families deeply involved in various aspects of our community. My role as A.D. provided me the opportunity to witness the dynamic influence of Sarah Heckman on our community.

I have known the Heckman family more than 16 years. All three of the Heckman children excelled academically and athletically at SUHS and have gone on to graduate from the University of California. I attribute their successes to the moral and supportive foundation Sarah and Greg provided them.

In addition, Sarah and Greg have generously volunteered their time and resources to countless Sutter Union High events and fundraisers over the years, and they continue to maintain a presence in the SUHS community.

Sarah's leadership stretches beyond the campus of SUHS; her 10 year service as an attorney and member of the senior management Sutter Superior Court further illustrates her broad commitment to the benefit of our community.

Her legal and Sutter Court experience coupled with 35 years of selfless contributions to our community make her the most qualified candidate for this position.
