Letter: Sullenger backed for Sutter District 1 seat
As a recent candidate for Sutter County District 1 supervisor, I would like to thank those of you who voted for me during the primary. We came very close.
I got to know all of the candidates running for that office while campaigning and would strongly encourage those who voted for me earlier to now vote for Ron Sullenger this coming Nov. 6.
I have known him for many years and I am openly endorsing Sullenger for District 1 supervisor. I do so because of his self-earned real life business and farming experiences along with his family values and level of ability.
Ron and I share many of the same goals for Sutter County and District 1. To name a few, we both believe supervisors are not county employees and should not be taking a self-awarded lifetime pension benefit with them when they leave office. We also share the goal that supervisor pay raises should happen only with the approval by the voters of Sutter County. It's time for Sutter County voters to begin electing some of our most experienced business minds capable of making the tough fiscal and planning decisions that lie ahead.
