Enjoy a tasty shrimp linguini
This week, I am sharing a very tasty pasta recipe.
SHRIMP PUTTANESCA WITH LINGUINI
Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 tablespoons capers
1⁄2 cup chopped kalamata olives
1 tablespoon chopped anchovies
2 cups pureed fresh tomato
Salt and red pepper flakes, to taste
1 tablespoon chopped basil
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound linguini, cooked according to package directions
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Putting it together
In a large pan over medium heat, add the oil and the onions and cook until golden. Add the garlic and capers and cook for about two minutes. Add the olives, anchovies and the tomato and cook for about 10 minutes. Add some salt, red pepper flakes along with the basil and shrimp. Turn the heat to low and cook for about five minutes.
Add the linguini and toss until the noodles are covered with sauce. Serve while hot topped with the Parmesan cheese and enjoy.
