Mighty Mites cheerleaders soar
The Twin Cities Jr. Blazers Mighty Mite team, composed of 7-and 8-year-olds from Yuba-Sutter, was crowned as the 2013 Jamz National Champions during nationals cheerleading competition Jan. 25-27 in Las Vegas.
The girls competed against 11 teams in their division at the contest after qualifying at competitions in Sacramento and San Francisco.
Additional Blazers teams also taking part in the Las Vegas competition were the Jr. Pee Wee team, winning sixth place; the Jr. Midget team, fourth; and Jr. Midget dance team, fourth.
