Clair W. Tellier Jr., 78, of Sacramento died July 16, 2005, at his residence.

Born in Oakland, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident from 1963 until moving to the Sacramento area seven years ago

He worked as a mechanical engineer in the paper and wood products industries for almost 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Tellier of Sacramento; two daughters, Julie Tellier-Fairey of Marysville and Deborah Tellier of Lafayette; and six grandchildren.

Donations may be sent to the Yuba-Sutter Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 745 Sutter St., Yuba City, CA 95991; or ValleyRidge Hospice Foundation, 9852 Business Park Drive, Suite I, Sacramento, CA 95827.

Services: A memorial service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lind Brothers Mortuary, Carmichael Oaks Chapel, 4221 Manzanita Ave., Carmichael.
