What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Moved here from Maryland with mom when I was about 4 years old.
What do you like about the area? I like the small-town atmosphere. I don't want it to get too big, don't want traffic getting any worse than it is.
What is the closest you've been to a famous person? When I was about 6 or 7, I met Gov. Jerry Brown, during his first time in office, in Susanville. I was there with my mom and stepdad visiting friends.
What would you do with a million dollars? Buy a house with some property and help out people there if I could as far as giving them a place to stay.
Favorite musical group: Third Day, a Christian contemporary band.
Favorite television show: "Psych" — I like their camaraderie, their comedy. You sometimes can't tell who is the sidekick.
Who has had a strong effect in your life? My religious conversion to Jesus.
Tell us about memorable experience: The home birth of my last two children.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? I did want to go into the Marines.
What is your dream job? An artist. I would like to draw comic books or comic strips.
What would you like to see different in the community? More manufacturing businesses. There are too many service-oriented businesses now.
Favorite books: "The Hobbit" and the "Halo" series.
Favorite movie: "Time Bandits."
What is your pet peeve? When you're talking to somebody and they cut you off or ignore what you're doing.
