A Union Pacific train struck a stolen car on Tuesday evening left sitting on the tracks in Linda.
No one was in the car and the train eventually continued on its way.
According to the Yuba-Sutter California Highway Patrol office, the train was headed south on the tracks behind the Walmart when it hit the Honda Prelude at about 7 p.m.
The impact knocked the car off the tracks and caused extensive front-end damage, but the train did not derail and there were no injuries.
According to the CHP, the car was recently reported stolen.
