U.S. Army Pfc. Bryan Tuck is the son of Joni and Michael Smalley of Marysville and Frank Tuck of Fairfield. His brother is Christopher Tuck of Fairfield.
Tuck graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield in June where he lettered in track. He also completed four years of JROTC, the last year as their readiness commander.
Tuck joined the Army and graduated from Infantry training at Fort Benning, Ga., in October as an expert marksman.
He also received the National Defense Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
