Howe/Whitmer
Pamela D. Howe and Robert W. Whitmer, residents of Kula, Maui, Hawaii, were married Aug. 7 at the Holy Ghost Church in Kula.
The bride, daughter of Thomas and Brenda Howe of Sutter, had Doreen Clyne of Sarasota, Fla., as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lydia Foster of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, and the bride's sisters, Monica Meyers of Yuba City and Angela Howe of Fairfield.
Attendants also included Patricia Whitmer of Fontana as a flower girl; and Logan Meyers of Yuba City and Tyler Groom of La Verne as ring bearers.
The bride, a graduate of Sutter Union High School, is a first-grade teacher at King Kamehameha III School in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
The groom, son of the late Lee and Patricia Whitmer, had his brother, Rick Whitmer of Fontana, and Scott Carrington of Scottsdale, Ariz., as best men.
Groomsmen were Steve Groom of La Verne, Kevin McCord of Monterey, Joe Dodson of Fontana and Jamie Johnson of Seattle, Wash.
The groom is a real estate agent on Maui.
The couple honeymooned on the island of Kauai.
Nateras/Valenzuela
Yuba City residents Rocio Nateras and Jesus Valenzuela were married June 18 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville. Rev. Robert Copsey officiated.
The bride, daughter of Salomon and Bertha Nateras, had Maria A. Nateras as matron of honor and Jaqueline Nateras as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Julie Rocha, Maria Alfaro, Karla Rosales and Jannette Acosta, all of Yuba City.
Attendants also included Samantha Mendieta, Maya Valenzuela, Monica Valenzuela and Ruby Hurtado as flower girls; and Gabino Valenzuela as ring bearer.
The groom, son of Hipolito and Maria Valenzuela, had Samuel Valenzuela as best man.
Groomsmen were Octavio Valenzuela, Chico Valenzuela, Larry Wilkinson, Robert Cardenas and Felipe Ordoñez.
A reception was held at the Veterans Hall in Yuba City. The couple honeymooned on Maui, Hawaii.
