Letter: Send Kim Vann to Congress

As a county supervisor, I have fought the same fight that Kim Vann has fought. I know what hard work it is and I know that Kim Vann understands the struggles that are facing this region. She is a genuinely hard worker and she has fresh and new ideas for how to fix the problems that are facing this area.

In this election, we face a unique opportunity to elect one such as Kim Vann to Congress. Her opponent is current Bay Area congressman John Garamendi, who couldn't be more out of touch with the residents of this district. He is a proponent of the same failed policies that got us into the mess we're in now. Albert Einstein once said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If we continue to send irresponsible spenders to Washington, how can we be surprised when the result is irresponsible spending?

Kim Vann is from here and she will fight to protect our agriculture, our water rights and our way of life. Don't send a career politician to Washington; send someone with fresh ideas and a new perspective. Join me in supporting Kim Vann for Congress.
