Marysville man dies in Yuba County crash

A Marysville man died Friday night after the vehicle he was driving overturned into ditch on Feather River Boulevard and Plumas Arboga Road in Yuba County, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident happened at about 8:50 p.m.

The vehicle, a green Ford, landed on its roof in a ditch that had about 4 feet of water. The vehicle's wheels were seen sticking out of the water.

Linda firefighters pulled the victim from the vehicle, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was believed to be in his 40s.

CHP officers at the scene said it appeared the vehicle was headed south on Feather River Boulevard, veered into the northbound lane and then careened into the ditch. A 50-yard-long skid mark was visible on the pavement.
