Letter: Top 10 stories vote rekindles family's grief

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

I find it very tactless to pull up peoples’ grief in the form of a vote for the top 10 local stories of the year. To bring up the Tyler Whiteaker tragedy again is just unbelievable.

This newspaper shows no respect for people’s grief and feelings. This family will suffer forever. I am disgusted, and the Appeal-Democrat proved one more time to me how good it is not to subscribe to this newspaper: what a waste of money it would be.

I hope that the editor never will have a situation where he might be at fault. I hope and pray if he is at fault that people will have mercy with him.

BACK TO SCHOOL?
The new GI Bill benefits vary from state to state depending on tuition and fees, replacing the previous flat stipend, and also includes a formula for private college assistance. Do you agree with this approach?
Yes, it allows veterans more choices of where to attend college.
I like it, but the private school policy is flawed in California.
I think it's too generous.
No, it pits states against each other.
