Letter: Clinic not a benefit for one veteran
In response to the Dec. 23 "Year in Review" story recounting the arrival of the Veterans Affairs Clinic:
Well, it ain't what it's cracked up to be.
My husband had four appointments, three of which were canceled due to no doctor there. When he tried to reschedule, he was told to try Mather or McClellan Air Force bases.
I thought the idea for this was so veterans wouldn't have to travel that far. To me, it was a waste of money. We have to travel weekly to McClellan just for physical therapy for him. Why can't they get a doctor in there? Are doctors and care for the veterans a thing of the past? Just wondering!
