Yuba City

• "Girls on the Run" will be running in their first 5K on Saturday.

• The seventh-grade girls basketball team is undefeated with a record of 8-0.

• The student council ran a penny war to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The first-grade class took first place.

• Movie Night will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the multipurpose room.

• The Panther Pursuit of Excellence lunch will take place Friday.

Lincoln Elementary School

Yuba City

• The Lincoln School Site Council will have its meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the library.

• The After School Drama Club will perform "A Peter Pan Christmas" at 6 p.m. Dec. 13.

• Our last day of school before winter vacation is Dec. 20.

Tierra Buena Elementary School

Yuba City

• On Saturday most girls from the Eagle Center, Tierra Buena's after-school program, will take part in the "Girls on The Run" 5k run-walk. The program is for young girls to help build self-esteem. There is also a component about how important it is to be healthy and to exercise.

• The Tierra Buena Choir will have its Winter Concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the multipurpose room.
