• Students of Dawn White's seventh- and eighth-grade science classes have been learning about plant and animal cells. Each student created a cell model out of various mediums, correctly labeled, which are on display in our library. Now they will be applying their knowledge of cell anatomy to cell processes that take place in order to make food and create energy.
• Students of Autumn Rose Garcia's seventh-grade English Language Arts classes are working on a project in the computer lab designing a PowerPoint presentation. Each student chose a topic and must prepare a PowerPoint with at least 10 slides to present to their classmates.
• Students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades attended an assembly presented by our student council members on finding a natural high instead of turning to drugs. This assembly was student led and allowed our students who run student council to be seen as leaders and to stand up against drugs in front of their peers.
