Favorite part of school: Math — I love it when everything makes sense. It's like solving a case.

Hobbies, interests: I like to watch movies, play basketball and read books.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? We were about to live in San Jose — moving from Guadalajara, Mexico — but came to visit an aunt here. We liked it here more.

What's your favorite place to visit in the Yuba-Sutter area? The Sutter County Library in Yuba City.

Where would you like to take a week's vacation? France. I would like to see the Eiffel Tower.

Is there a famous person you would like to meet? Bill Gates — because he is a genius.

What would you do with a million dollars? Start a business with my dad and save the rest.

Who has had a strong influence in your life? My mom. She's always there for me.

What is your dream job? Since I was a kid, I've always liked to sell stuff. This is why I want to be a businessman — my family says it's in my blood.

What would you like to see different in the community? More people enjoying the outside instead of watching TV all day.

What is your pet peeve? When people lie. It just drives me crazy.
