Lance Cpl. Bobby Ward

Marine Lance Cpl. Bobby Ward is the son of Paul and Beth Ward of Marysville and the brother to Logan, Emily and Victoria, all of Marysville.

Ward was an Eagle Scout with Troop 21 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Yuba City. He attended Marysville High School, Yuba City Charter School and graduated from C-Tech in 2005. He joined the Marines after graduation.

Ward attended boot camp at MCRD, San Diego, and completed infantry and Marine combat training at Camp Pendleton. He deployed in January 2007 with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit to Japan, Australia and South Korea. He redeployed to Iraq with the 1st Regimental Division in August 2008 and returned in January to his duty station at Camp Horno on Camp Pendleton.

Ward's enlistment ends April 8 and he plans on attending college using the GI Bill in Southern California.
