Letter: Control of water vital to community

Should the local city government lose control and management of the Hillcrest Water System as a result of a volunteer group's effort to impede the conversion to surface water, and that management passes to a private company, the community will have good cause to remember that group when rate hike applications are routinely filed and approved with the PUC. Local control of water is an asset to our community and city.
