Hugh Whatley
Hugh Whatley, 77, of Sutter died July 20, 2005, at his residence.
Born in Cullman, Ala., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 48 years.
He was a retired farm laborer for Gerald Frye.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Whatley of Sutter; a daughter, Debbie Murphy of Sutter; a son, Hugh A. Whatley of Sutter; two brothers, Gladys Whatley of Sutter and Milford Whatley of Watsonville; a sister, Ezma Schaffer of Colusa; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Whatley; a daughter, Martricia Singh; two sisters, Dixie Parks and Velma Hackney; and two brothers, Russell Whatley and Edward Whatley.
Services: Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Sutter Cemetery, Memorial Building, 7200 Butte Ave. in Sutter, with J.R. Gonzales officiating.
