Letter: Growth will worsen Wheatland gridlock

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Yuba Highlands traffic will descend to the Bear River lowlands and will be mired in the muck of the snarled congestive foliage known as the Wheatland Gridlock.

These automotive weeds will take over the farmlands and produce nothing but smoke and fumes and road rage.

The crop of Wheatland Gridlock is being harvested as we speak. This crop even now is more than our community can handle.

So far, we have been unable to control the growth of the Wheatland Gridlock. Bypass grafting is not yet available. The growth is being stimulated by the fertilizer known as “hot air and rhetoric.”

Until we find a traffic defoliant, we must say no to this thoughtless growth.

Dr. Rick Paskowitz

BACK TO SCHOOL?
The new GI Bill benefits vary from state to state depending on tuition and fees, replacing the previous flat stipend, and also includes a formula for private college assistance. Do you agree with this approach?
Yes, it allows veterans more choices of where to attend college.
I like it, but the private school policy is flawed in California.
I think it's too generous.
No, it pits states against each other.
