Name: Jerry and Josie Wheeler.

Occupation: Jerry is an operations manager for Blasting Materials and Equipment in Sacramento; Josie is division manager for Cousin Gary’s Homes in Chico.
Hobbies, interests: Hiking, camping, antique shopping and riding motorcycles.
What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Because the prices for homes was better than it was in Sacramento.
Place of worship you attend: Hallwood Nazarene Church. Pastor Gil was our neighbor before he became pastor. He invited us to his induction ceremony and we felt like we were at home. We’ve attended ever since.
How long have you attended? About 2 years.
What is the importance of faith in your life? Our marriage and home is built on God. Our faith gives purpose to our lives and we found out that things in life work out better when we put God first.
How do you live out your faith? In everyday life, we try to live by example of God’s love. We try to live what we believe. We volunteer at the Twin Cities Rescue Mission in Marysville and Jerry has been on short term missions in China. We also host a life group in our home for the community and our church, to talk about building relationships and learn about life lessons based on biblical principles.
