Engagement: Whitehead/Young

Jesi Whitehead of Mokelumne Hill and Richard Lee Young of Yuba City plan to wed June 1 in El Dorado County.

The bride is the daughter of JoAnn and Steve Shipe of Valley Springs and Mike and Mary Whitehead of Phoenix, Ariz.

A 2001 graduate of Calaveras High School, she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Sacramento. She is the manager at Leap Yoga and the owner of Blank Canvas Design Co. and With Love Products.

Her fiancé is the son of Dick and Sandi Young and Christine Erickson, all of Yuba City.

A 2001 graduate of Sutter Union High School and the John Deere Ag Tech Program in Walla Walla, Wash., he is a journeyman mechanic for Union Pacific Railroad.
