Obituary Notice: Lawrence V. Panico
Lawrence V. “Larry” Panico, 87, of Yuba City died April 22, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Tacoma, Wash., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 56 years.
He was a retired butcher after working for Del Pero Brothers for 25 years and Lucky's for five years.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2563 and a member of Peach Bowl Lion's Club, both in Yuba City.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Bernice Panico of Yuba City; a daughter, Carol Miller of Marysville; a son, Warren Panico of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Clara Lutz of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Lewis Panico of Tacoma, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Panico.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City. Pastor Lois Black of the Yuba City First United Methodist Church will officiate. Military honors will be provided by Judge Tucker VFW Post 2563, Yuba City. Private inurnment will be at Sutter Cemetery.
